The Simsbury Community Band is a non-profit organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is our understanding that contributions to the organization are therefore tax deductible. (However, you should rely on the opinion of your own tax advisor.)

The Simsbury Community Band can make good use of your contributions of both money and volunteer time.

There are many tasks associated with a concert that need to be done by someone who isn't actually playing in the band, such as ushering/serving and general backstage management.
